Who is TSW Wealth Management?

Simply stated, since 1996, our mission has been to help our clients achieve their financial goals.

We are a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), meaning the firm must meet a fiduciary standard. The fiduciary standard includes the obligation to do what is in the client’s best interest at all times, which is a level of responsibility we take with the utmost seriousness.

As a boutique firm, we are able to provide the capabilities and technologies of a larger institution, but with the service, flexibility, and independence often afforded by smaller organizations. Every call or email is answered directly by a member of our advisory or client service team, not routed through a prompt system.

Although we work primarily with individuals and families throughout New England, our firm has grown, and our client relationships now span across the country. For the majority of our clients, this means developing long-term and truly personal relationships as we are working with you in the years up to and throughout retirement.

Managing Principal

Terry became a financial advisor in 1991 and later established his own firm because he wanted to be able to provide clients with independent and objective advice.  In 1996, Terry founded the firm that would go on to become TSW Wealth Management.  Prior to starting the firm, Terry began his career as a CPA in public accounting, where he worked for two of the largest public accounting firms in the country. 

Terry has earned several designations in financial services including:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) - 1993 
  • Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) - 1995
  • Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) - 1998

For the past nine years, Terry has been named a Five Star Wealth Manager by Five Star Professional*. See disclosures*.

Terry is a member of the:

  • Financial Planning Association (FPA)
  • Society of Financial Services Professionals (FSP)

Terry is thrilled to have his daughter, Sarah, partner with him at the firm solidifying the family’s commitment to the business. Outside the office, Terry enjoys traveling and spending time on Cape Cod with his wife, golfing, and walking his dog, Sadie.

Sarah A. Wells, CFP®


Sarah has been with the firm for over eight years. Back in 2011, Sarah began as the Vice President of Operations. Within two years, she quickly rose into her current role as a financial advisor and Principal of the firm.

Sarah has earned her:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)

and is also a member of the:

  • Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Graduating cum laude from Bucknell University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a dual degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Politics. During this time, Sarah also studied at the University of Melbourne's business school focusing on global business and economics. In preparation for her financial planning certification, she also completed Boston University's Financial Planning Program.

Before joining TSW, Sarah moved to Philadelphia for an international insurance firm where she worked closely with Fortune 500 companies on their global business insurance programs.

Sarah loves working with the firm’s clients and is delighted to be able to partner with Terry and continue to grow the company. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, running along the Charles River, and trying new restaurants.

Sharon has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, previously working in the institutional investment arena. Prior to joining TSW Wealth Management in 2013, she was a product manager and partner with Pursuit Capital Marketing.  

Sharon is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, marketing initiatives, and helping the firm’s clients. Sharon spearheads the Client Service team and strives to strengthen relationships by offering assistance that is both prompt and personal, whether helping with account applications and forms, or processing financial transactions.

Sharon graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She serves as treasurer on the board of trustees for her local Boy Scout troop.

In her free time, Sharon enjoys cooking, hiking, volunteering and traveling with her husband and two children.

Dawn joined TSW Wealth Management in 2017 with over 15 years of administrative and client service experience. She is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in marketing and communications. We believe Dawn has a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing outstanding client service.

Dawn helps support the day-to-day operations of the firm, work on special projects and systems, and also provides client service by helping prepare reports and account paperwork, and assisting with financial transactions.

Dawn graduated from Assumption College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Dawn enjoys networking and serves on the Leadership team of a local Women’s networking group.

Outside of work, Dawn enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Administrative Assistant

Annie joined TSW Wealth Management in 2018 with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously working in retirement plan groups, she specialized in dealing with 401K plan client services, including distributions and enrollments, payroll, and quality control.  

Annie provides a friendly voice on the phone helping schedule appointments and directing client calls to the appropriate team. She supports both our Advisory and Client Service teams by handling the general administrative duties for the office and keeping the office organized, as well as assisting in compiling reports and working on special projects. 

In her free time, Annie enjoys crocheting, reading, baking and traveling. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children and dog Buster.
